We switch gears to discuss gum control. That’s right: gum control. 50% of adults 30 years and older in the U.S. have periondontal disease. The number spikes to 65% of people age 65 years and older. Symptoms include red, swollen, bleeding or receding gums, loose teeth, mouth sores and persistent bad breath. Gum disease is preventable, but many of us don’t even take time to floss daily which helps. Dr. Wayne Aldredge, president of the American Academy of Periondontology (AAP) will discuss proper gum care and why it matters for your health to “love the gums you’re with.” For more info check out www.Gumblr.org
