How are those New Year’s resolutions coming along? Are you still on track? If you find yourself in a make ’em, then break ’em mode, youare not alone.Research data has shown that 80%of people break their New Year’s resolutionsby February 1st. Read this article.

So, if youfeel you’re back to your old self in this new year, here is what you can do:

Make aFABuary resolution to accomplish Just One Thing.

Forget the long list. Just focus on the one thing you can do and stick to it. Keep a journal to document your progress. Sometimes it’s easy to do one thing well than spread yourself too thin. There’s no reason to multi-task ifit leaves you feeling taxed.

Why not for the next 28 days make a commitment to make one small change and not a giant leap that leaves you falling all over your self.

One of the most interesting things last week’s show guest, Madisyn Taylor, founder of DailyOM, told me is that she rarelyreads other people’sself-help books. She said she focuses on listening to her own voice. That totally resonated with me. While I read self-help books to prepare for my guests who wrote them, I rarely read them at leisure. Too much “noise” makes it hard to listen to your Self.

So, with that in mind, tune out the numerous emails and videos floodingyour inbox promoting self-help books and classes tocreate the New You.Instead, tune into the Real You and listen toyour inner voice.

It usually has a lot to say, and ithas your back.
